Position Overview

A Senior Systems Integration Engineer is an exciting cross-functional role within Bulu. This person will build, develop, and run key interfaces for core business functions. This person will help grow an existing department within Bulu and shape Bulu’s technical process and abilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with management, departments and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
  • Leads in defining, documenting, and developing integrations, as well as contributes to architecture and technical design discussions, code reviews and technical design/specifications in collaboration with the project team
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
  • Responsible for the development, test and deployment of interfaces
  • Maintains and troubleshoots existing interfaces
  • Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into integration design documentation
  • Develop standards of operation documentation as necessary
  • Identify potential areas for improvement to promote efficiency and automation
  • Create KPIs and create reporting standards and processes
  • Responsible for maintenance, backup, restore and recovery of interfaces and system servers
  • Oversight and management of Warehouse Management System
  • Lead, manage, and hold direct reports accountable 


Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in Python, Django, SQL and PHP
  • An understanding of Web Services, JSON and API’s to transmit data objects
  • Demonstrable skill with SQL and the ability to run simple to complex queries
  • Demonstrable skill with JavaScript
  • Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Documentation skills, including creating as-built documentation for interface configuration
  • Ability to identify technologies and acquire working knowledge of them to leverage them to create solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team. Past management experience preferred
  • Generally, operates with fairly wide latitude for un-reviewed action or decision
  • Software Development skills a plus
  • Experience in logistics or WMS (warehouse management system) software a plus
